Fantasy Curling Scoring System
In Fantasy Curling, players accumulate points based on the performance of curlers in real-life competitions. Here’s how the scoring system works:
Points for Individual Curling Performance:
Winning a Game:
+5 points for the curler’s team winning a match.
Score for a Curling Shot:
+2 points for each perfect shot (as judged by accuracy and placement in the scoring zone).
+1 point for a successful shot that doesn’t hit the target zone but still contributes to the team’s strategy.
End Performance:
+3 points for a curler contributing to an overall team win in an end.
+1 point for a curler’s personal shot contribution in an end (e.g., making a key takeout or draw).
Stealing an End:
+4 points for a team that steals an end (when they score without the other team having the hammer).
Blank End:
+2 points for a curler contributing to a blank end (when neither team scores in that end).
Bonus Points for Special Achievements:
Perfect End:
+6 points for a curler whose team scores a perfect end (4 points or more in a single end).
Great Shot Sequence:
+5 points for a curler who executes a series of consecutive perfect shots (minimum 3 shots).
Negative Points:
Missed Shots:
-1 point for a curler who misses a shot that results in a significant loss of points or strategy.
Loss of Game:
-3 points for a curler’s team losing a match.
Penalty for Foul Play:
-2 points for any penalty or misconduct (e.g., illegal sweeping or other game violations).
Additional Considerations:
Bonus points for clutch performances: If a curler executes a crucial shot or contributes to a game-winning move, they earn +3 points.
Season Performance: Players who consistently deliver high scores across multiple events may receive bonus season points for consistency, given in increments of +2 points for every tournament they perform well in.
